Join the 80 for $8 Campaign - Keep the Watchdog on the Beat

Our local politics project, MetroWatchdog.org, published several action alerts in the last month. We recruited supporters for:

  • Keeping a critical voice on the Minneapolis Civilian Review Authority
  • Bike infrastructure improvements on St. Paul's Jefferson Avenue
  • A moratorium on building new digital (video) billboards on metro-area roads
  • Raising questions about the increasing number of surveillance cameras around St. Paul

60 people participated in the digital billboard moratorium action alert. We're starting to build the numbers that will be noticed by local politicians. We're ready to start a public push to promote the tool and recruit new signups.

But first we need to achieve steps towards funding sustainability. If 80 people agree to donate $8 a month, we will raise 50% of our operational budget for the project over the year, putting full sustainability in reach. Can you help us get there?
